How To Open Character Map In Windows 8
Nope information technology's withal in that location, Windows 8 didn't remove anything at all. You can still follow the same instructions: the Start menu in Windows eight is still organized the same, just bigger (full screen).
Quondam: Outset > All Programs (arrow at the bottom) > Accessories > Grapheme Map
New: Start > All Apps (pointer at the bottom > Accessories > Character Map
Y'all can also just open the Starting time menu and type "char" and the Character map will popup automatically in the search results, merely like the onetime Windows. And if yous want even faster access next fourth dimension, correct-click the Character Map and "pivot to Commencement" or "pin to Taskbar".

Accessories is a folder on Windows vii. Windows 8 shows the same folder names, and has them already expanded out. Although I missed a step, Windows vii makes you open 2 folders: Accessories, then System Tools. Windows 8 just has it as shortly as you open "all apps" and scroll down to the accessories section. Windows 10 later this yr will go dorsum to a smaller-size kickoff menu, but it will as well still be organized the aforementioned with the list and accessories binder in there similar 7 and eight, just not full-screen anymore.
But either way, in both systems y'all tin only blazon "char" and when it appears, right-click and "pin to taskbar" then information technology puts it correct on the bottom bar for instant admission in the future. That will work with any program. You lot can also right-click a running program icon on the taskbar that'southward already opened, and pivot from there and then it stays visible even when not running.
